The 24 truffles in this box are made in the UK with the best dark chocolate and filled with only the finest ingredients. The truffles are also hand-made using organic ingredients wherever possible.

The fair trade box is hand-made by Javanese craftspeople using offcuts of batik material from Saris, so each on is completely unique. The box is lined and padded, so when all the contents have been eaten the box can be kept are re-used.

This batik box of 24 gourmet dark truffles would make a lovely gift for someone on a dairy free diet as no milk products are used in the making of the truffles. Please be aware that although no milk products have been added to the ingredients they are made in a factory that handles dairy products.

Sunrise - dark chocolate with orange.

The organic cocoa used in the production of these chocolate truffles is purchased directly from co-operatives plantations in The Dominican Republic and Peru. This ensures that the farmers get a price significantly above the open market and indeed some way above the price of fair trade branded cocoa.

The fair trade box is made by a group of women in one village in Java and supports a number of families. Our supplier of the fair trade batik boxes has a direct trading policy and is a member of BAFTS. They have built up relationships with all their craftsmen and women over a number of years and ensure that they receive a fair price for their products. They often pay money to them in advance so that they can pay for the materials they need to make the product and still have money to support their families.
